The CAM Academy Trust is a charitable company and has听several听important听layers of governance:听听

Our governance structure
Members are custodians of the trust鈥檚 constitution and charitable purpose. Their听main role听is to hold the trust board to account for effective governance听
Trustees are the strategic governing body of the trust.听They set the听vision and strategy听for all schools in the trust.听They oversee finance, compliance,听risk听and educational performance, holding the trust executive to account.听
We have link trustees for specific areas of governance. These are:

Our Local Advisory boards provide an important听connection听to our school communities听and gain an understanding of the 鈥榣ived experience鈥� of pupils in individual schools. Although not formally 鈥榞overnors鈥� they undertake听a very important听role.听
Formulation of strategy and day to day operations are delegated to the Chief Executive. The Chief Executive is supported by an executive leadership team and professional experts within the trust central team.听
Trust Committees
The Trust Board has听established听committees to carry out some of its governance functions, which may include making decisions or recommendations to the full board.听听
